Our Zipping time was 3:00 p.m. We had to arrive at the main office at 2:30 to fill out waiver forms, weigh in (very discreet--no one sees that but you), and get fitted with a harness and helmet. The helmet is very light and comfortable.
After getting geared up, we got on a small bus that would take us to our first zipping site. We had three guides who were great comedians cracking jokes all the time which really made me feel comfortable and kept my mind off what was coming up. They said our bus driver's name was Dewy (spelled D.U.I.) lol...Honestly, I had to think about that one for a bit--then it finally hit me. Ha! Ha! When we arrived at the first zip line site, we climbed up a tower to the top where the guides explained every safety detail and how we were to position our bodies. I'll admit, I was a little bit apprehensive before that first jump, but after I launched out into that beautiful, blue sky over the breath-taking, wild scenery of the Red River Gorge's natural beauty--I was hooked for good. It was a beautiful, exhilarating experience and I highly recommend it!
